What Should Eagles Do With Riley Cooper?

Eagles WR Riley Cooper is in the center of a huge controversy.

A video has surfaced on the internet that shows Eagles WR Riley Cooper at a Kenny Chesney concert last month arguing with an African American security guard. During the altercation Cooper had a choice word for the guard. Cooper said, “I will jump that fence and fight every n______ here bro.”

Coopers teammates are appalled by what he said and a lot of them have “lost respect for Cooper” while others say that they know “the real Cooper, it’s not who he is”.

The Eagles made a quick response to the situation in fining Cooper what he says is a “substantial amount of money”. Copper immediately talked to the media and apologized to his teammates, the organization, the fans, and his family.

His apology:

This will be interesting to see heading forward if this divides the team or if they are able to get past this. If they get past it, it will take some time.

With the injury to Maclin the Eagles needed  Cooper to step in his place. Now that second WR position just got a lot cloudier. Avant is a slot specialist and might not even fit into Kelly’s new offense. Other options would be Arrelious Benn, Damaris Johnson, Ifeanyi Momah, and Russell Shepard. Benn or Momah would be the teams best fit as a number two receiver if Cooper is no longer with the team.

Cooper will definitely be a targeted man for opposing players when and if he takes the field.
