Being 1-3 to start a season isn’t where you want to be and being 0-4 you never want to be. But that is where the Eagles and the Giants stand as they enter today’s game at Met Life Stadium. The Giants are facing a lot of injuries as well as having a terrible defense much like the Eagles.
Keys to Victory?:
Run, run, run. Since the Eagles have had LeSean McCoy they are 6-2 against the Giants. McCoy has gashed the Giants for 694 yards on the ground, 171 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.
They need to get pressure on Eli Manning. The Giants have given up on average 3.5 sacks per game which plays a big role in the Giants offensive deficiencies this season. The Eagles must avoid giving Manning time to get the ball out to his lethal weapons Cruz, Nicks, Randle, and Myers.
Those would be the two main points of emphasis going into the game. Of course they need to be able to execute the fundamentals and focus if they want to win. That means no more key dropped passes, penalties, winning the individual battles etc.
The Eagles have a good chance to win this game and on paper they should. However they can not take this game lightly because as we know the Giants are 0-4 and are desperate for a win, plus divisional games are almost always tougher to play.
